Linda earned a BA degree in Psychology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and a BA degree in Dance and Choreography from California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles. She was a member of the original modern dance company, "Donald Byrd and the Group." As choreographer Linda has created works for dance companies in the United States, the Commune di Roma, theater and television.
Linda has earned the Peak PilateSystem Professional Certification. Her Pilates studies also include classes, workshops, and seminars with Cathy Grant, Ron Fletcher, and Polestar.
In addition, Linda holds a Physical Fitness Expert Certification from Kenneth Cooper's Center for Aerobic Research in Dallas, Texas.
"The Fitness Express Workout" series which Linda produced and choreographed, includes two 60 minute workouts: Combo Dance Aerobics, Jazz-funk Dance Aerobics, and her 75 minute classic Total Body Conditioning Dance Aerobics Workout.
She has collaborated with various fitness organizations including Federazione Ginnastica d'Italia and Federazione Italiana di Fitness to develop national teacher training programs. Linda has presented masterclasses and workshops throughout Italy, including the first "California Fitness Festival" in Rimini, and the College of William and Mary's Summer Dance Intensive in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Currently Linda teaches the classical Pilates method, modern dance, MindBodyStretch, and her signature class, BodyConditioningDance, at her studio LindaFoster Pilates & Dance.
